On Remembrance day we remember the sacrifice made by so many soldiers. We have the freedom we have today because of so many of them. I will be forever grateful for all of their courage.
Today my students learned about a friend that I spent my childhood growing up with who was a dedicated soldier.

On Remembrance day we remember the sacrifice made by so many soldiers. We have the freedom we have today because of so many of them. I will be forever grateful for all of their courage.

Sadly, he was the last Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan on Oct. 29/2011.
Master Cpl. Byron Greff was a hard-working infantry soldier, qualified paratrooper and member of the battalion’s reconnaissance platoon. To say that he was highly respected by his fellow soldiers would be an understatement. "
Master Corporal Greff paid the ultimate price serving his country. His life and death serves as an example of the bravery and outstanding dedication of Canadian Armed Forces members.
