CULTURE CRAZE FEAST DISHES NEED TO COME TO SCHOOL TOMORROW.

WE WILL BE EATING AT 2:25 pm.

Parents are more than welcome to join us for the feast if they would like to help out.

We will be doing Culture Craze from 2:25 - 3:20 pm.

African Cats Field Trip

We will be going to view African Cats on Wednesday, June 1st courtesy of funding from a lovely MMH parent.

We will be leaving at 12:45 pm and returning at 3:20 pm.

Movie viewing will be from 1:10 to 3:00.

Due to the number of kids that will be attending the movie (all grade one and three classes) no siblings may come to this field trip.

Each class is only able to send 4 parent drivers so please get your driving slips in soon if you would like to drive.

FEEL THE BEAT FIELD TRIP

On Wednesday we are going to "Feel the Beat" at Southminster Church. We will be leaving at 11:30 am for the performance so children who go home for lunch will need to bring a lunch on that WEDNESDAY!

I cannot believe it is almost the middle of MAY!!!!! Yeesh...this year is flying!!!

Important Date...

Story writing PAT is on Tuesday, May 17th.

Please keep this low key with your child as I do not want the kids to stress about this. They have written numerous stories in class and they are ready to go!

On Monday night, please ensure that your child goes to bed early so that they are able to get a good nights sleep. On Monday morning they need to have a good breakfast.

On Tuesday afternoon as a way to relax and unwind after a busy morning of writing, we will be having a pizza party with the money we won from being selected for the ARTS ALIVE AND WELL art show.

Garage Sale Update!!!

Garage Sale Update:
As you know a massive Garage Sale is scheduled to take place Saturday May 28th at the Exhibition Pavilion from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This event has been organized to raise funds to replace the existing wooden playground structure at our school. You can drop your well cared for items off in the foyer of the school under the playground bulletin board up until Thursday May 26th. Please label you bags/boxes with your child’s homeroom so they can be set up on the right tables. Organizers are in need of your help- sign up sheets are outside of every classroom – please have a look and see if there is anything you can help with or e-mail Stacy @ deys@shaw.ca . Jobs include setting up the day before, working a shift with your child the day of, and cleanup after the sale. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Finally, check out the AMAZING Raffle and Silent Auction items that have been donated by our local businesses on our school website!!!

EACH CHILD NEEDS TO BRING A PLASTIC CONTAINER TO SCHOOL TO TRANSPORT THEIR PYSANKY EGGS HOME.

THE CONTAINTER NEEDS TO BE LARGE ENOUGH TO HOLD THEIR TWO EGGS AND IT NEEDS TO BE STUFFED WITH PAPER TOWEL TO PROTECT THE EGG.

Ukrainian Dancing Field Trip Tomorrow

We have our Ukrainian dancing field trip tomorrow.

ALL KIDS NEED TO BRING A LUNCH TO SCHOOL BECAUSE WE WILL BE LEAVING THE SCHOOL AT NOON TO GET TO THE PERFORMANCE.
