SUNSCREEN AND HAT FOR SCHOOL

 

With the weather getting decent it is a good idea for your child to have some SUNSCREEN and a HAT in their backpack as we will be spending most of our gym periods outside.

TOMORROW IS BEACH DAY!!

WE FINALLY HAVE SOME NICE WEATHER SO IT IS A GREAT TIME TO HEAD TO THE BEACH.

Events coming up...

With the end of the school year fast approaching there will be lots of things happening.

 

Here are some of the events coming up:

May 27 – Helen Schuler Trip (afternoon trip)

 

May 30 – POW WOW at Nicholas Sheran (We will be walking over…parent helpers would be great).

 

June 2 – Family Pancake Breakfast

 

June 12 – SPORTS DAY

 

June 16- Birds of Prey Trip and Swimming in Taber (THIS IS AN ALL DAY AFFAIR AND PARENTS WILL BE NEEDED.  LETTER TO COME SOON).

 

June 19 – Culture Craze Feast (all grade 3 classes)

 

June 23 – Grade three year end splash park party.

 

June 26 – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL (dismissed at 11:45am)

Sports Day - June 12

 

 

Sports day is on JUNE 12.

 

A LETTER IS COMING HOME WITH YOUR CHILD TODAY TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT.

Helen Schuler Field Trip

The Grade 3 Team has decided to take the kids to Helen Schuler for a trip that ties in to our science curriculum for lifecycles. Mrs. Barker’s class will be going on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 12:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.  

In order for every child to be transported to the centre parent volunteers are needed. Mrs. Barker’s class will leave the school at 12:20 p.m. and will return at 2:30 p.m.  It is okay if you are only able to drive and pick up but if you are able to stay that would be GREAT!

If you are able to help with driving students please return the bottom portion of the letter to your Mrs. Barker by this Friday. Thank you very much.  J

 

A few things...

A few little notes for you...

 

1) Mrs. Barker is away TOMORROW AND FRIDAY .  Miss. Nickel will be in for me and she is awesome with the kids.  Please email me if you need to get in contact with me.

 

2) Hot lunch orders for EXTREME PITA are due on Tuesday, May 20th.

 

 

3) THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY - LONG WEEKEND :)

Flight to INDIA...

 

WE ARE DEPARTING FOR OUR FLIGHT TO INDIA TOMORROW MORNING AT 10:15am. 

 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE PACKED AND READY TO GO WITH YOUR SUITCASE.

THERE IS NO SPELLING THIS WEEK BECAUSE WE HAD THE SKIPATHON ALL AFTERNOON.

KIDS WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE SCHOOL "SKIPATHON" ON MONDAY AFTERNOON IN THE GYM.

WE ARE SWIMMING ON MONDAY FROM 10 - 11:30am.

 

KIDS MUST HAVE THEIR SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL AT SCHOOL AS WE WILL BE LEAVING AT 9:45am TO THE POOL.

DRIVERS NEEDED FOR SWIMMING ON MAY 12TH IN THE MORNING (leaving at 9:45 and coming back at 11:30).  Drivers do not need to stay at the pool it is fine just to drive to drop off and pick up.
