POPCORN SALE TOMORROW

There will be a popcorn sale tomorrow at first recess for the kids in grade three.

It costs 25 cents for a cup full of popcorn.

Kids may only buy one cup so we can be sure there is enough!

Building Materials Needed

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SCIENCE

Dear Parents/Guardians:

For our up coming science unit (Building with a Variety of Materials) we are going to be building many different things. I need help from home to gather materials for the kids to use to construct these various building projects. Any materials that you have at home would be greatly appreciated.

Please send the following materials in if you have any at home.

· toilet paper rolls paper towel rolls or wrapping paper rolls

· cereal boxes / granola bar boxes

· cracker boxes

· shoe boxes

· styrofoam meat trays / aluminum trays

· egg cartons

Thank you so much for your help collecting these materials. Without your help these building projects would not be possible. Please send the items you collect to school with your child.

India Uniform Day

INDIA SCHOOL UNIFORM DAY!

On Friday, January 23rd we are dressing in school uniforms like they do in INDIA!

UNIFORM CHOICES:

1) White or black shirt with jeans.

2) White shirt and black pants.

Time for us to get a little taste of what it is like for all the students to dress the exact same for school.

Swim Gear MONDAY

WE ARE GOING SWIMMING ON MONDAY MORNING.

We will be leaving at 9:40am and returning right before lunch.

YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY COME TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY WITH THEIR SWIMSUIT AND THEIR TOWEL.

IMPORTANT:

WE WILL NOT BE PHONING HOME FOR ANY FORGOTTEN SWIM GEAR!

SPIRIT ASSEMBLY TOMORROW AT 12:30 pm.

DRESS IN BLUE AND GOLD!!!

Drivers Needed

Dear Parents,

The Grade 3 Team has decided to take the kids swimming. Mrs. Barker’s class will be going on Monday, January 19^th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Nicholas Sheran Pool.

In order for every child to be transported to the swimming pool, we will need to have parent volunteers. Mrs. Barker’s class will be leaving the school on Monday at 9:45 am in order to be at the pool and ready to swim by 10:00 am.

If you are able to help with the driving please return the bottom portion of this letter to your child’s teacher. You are more than welcome to go in the pool with your child if you like. You can stay at the pool to watch if that works for you but you can also just drive to drop the kids off and return for pick up time (pick up time is 11:30 am).

Thank you for your help!

Please return your driver form by Friday at the latest. If you could send it in sooner that would be great! :)

Snow shoeing next week.

We will be snow shoeing next week on TUESDAY.

Please make sure that your child comes to school with the appropriate winter gear on Tuesday. Snow pants are a good idea in case they fall down. Mitts and toque are a MUST!
