DRESS LIKE CHRISTMAS AND UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY WILL BE ON THURSDAY.

FRIDAY MRS. BARKER'S CLASS WILL BE HAVING A PJ PARTY DAY!








There will also be NO SPELLING this week.

Cookie Decorating THURSDAY!

We will be doing some cookie decorating on Thursday afternoon.  I will be supplying the cookie and the icing for kids.

Kids will need to bring their own baggie of goodies that they would like to use to decorate their cookie (this can include sprinkles, gummies, chocolate chips, smarties…etc). 

PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN ANYTHING THAT IS A NUT OR NUT PRODUCT FOR DECORATING AS WE DO HAVE A SEVERE NUT ALLERGY IN THE CLASSROOM.  Thank you.

NEXT WEEK:


1) Galt field trip on Monday from 10:30 - 12:20.  We will eat lunch when we return.


2) Math test TUESDAY.


3) Skating party on THURSDAY from 9:45 - 11:30 at ATB Centre. 

If you have extra skates at home that your child does not use could you please send them to school clearly marked with your name so that we could borrow them for kids who do not have skates.

4) Friday is Christmas sweater and dress like Christmas.

 

MATH TEST MOVED TO TUESDAY INSTEAD OF MONDAY.

EXTRA DAY TO PRACTICE YOUR SKILLS.

PJ friendly family caroling night.

DECEMBER 22 FROM 6-7 PM in the MMH gym.

There will be old fashioned Christmas carols with piano accompaniment and then enjoy a cookie and hot chocolate in the foyer.

Bring your kids in their PJs and enjoy a fun filled Christmas evening.

MATH TEST MONDAY!

Your child will be bringing home their Numbers to 1000 unit review today. 

They have their unit test on this unit MONDAY.

The questions will be very similar to the review sheet.  Please take a few minutes to review the questions with your child between now and Monday.

Skating Party Next Week

We will be skating next week on DEC 22.  We will be leaving at 9:30 and returning at 11:30.

Drivers are still needed.

IN ORDER TO SKATE YOU CHILD MUST HAVE A PROPER HOCKEY HELMET ON.  NO BIKE HELMETS ARE ALLOWED ON THE ICE.



Challenge is on for Mrs. Barker's class!!

We are having a litterless lunch challenge in our classroom.  There is so much garbage on the playground and in the garbage cans after lunch (or on the classroom floor..eek).  So we have decided to do our part for the world and try to have a litter free lunch.

Kids are trying to bring in a litterless lunches and snacks to school.  Please have them help you with packing their lunch so that they can make it garbage free.  Make your child responsible for deciding how they will make their lunch litter free.

This is an optional challenge but I will be tracking those who participate for a special reward for their efforts.  :)

Reminders:

1.  Hot lunch orders are due online by Dec. 2 (this Friday)

2.  We are building elf houses with the preschool class so please send in your extra recycle materials. 

We need cardboard, toilet paper rolls, styrofoam...etch.

We will need shoe boxes to build the houses in as well.

Materials need to be at school by next Wednesday (Dec. 7th).

3. Library books are due back tomorrow for book exchange.

Scholastic book orders are DUE MONDAY!

If you would like to order something for your child for Christmas that you do not want them to know about please send it to me in a SEALED envelope.  I will contact you when the books arrive so that you can secretly pick them up.  :)
