Halloween Day Info

1) KIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR THEIR COSTUME TO SCHOOL. 

 THEY NEED TO BRING THEIR COSTUME IN THEIR BACKPACK TO PUT ON AT LUNCH.

* If your child requires their hair to be done in the  morning before coming to school that is fine. 

* Please DO NOT have your child apply gory makeup for the school parade.  There are younger students that will be involved and  we do not want any kids getting scared.  Light make up is fine (for example a little blood from mouth for a vampire).

If your child is going to require a lot of help getting into their costume please take time to come at noon as there is only one of me and I cannot get 26 kids dressed at the same time. :)

2) Halloween party snacks can be sent in the morning and I will take care of setting them up for the party.

If you are wanting to help out for the party you are more than welcome!

I am still in need of drivers for 6 students for swimming next week (Oct. 26th).  You DO NOT have to stay at the pool.  If you could simply drive over and pick up that would be great.

We are leaving the school at 9:45am and returning at 11:00 am.

Spelling Update:

Due to the fact that I am unable to be at the school today the start of spelling will be postponed until I return.  I run a differentiated spelling program which is too difficult for me to explain to a guest teacher.

Don't worry...spelling words will come.  It is important for me to do some other word work with them  for the first bit of school so that I can get them placed in the correct spelling group for your child's spelling level.

1. We will be going to the Scholastic Book Fair tomorrow at 2:35.  If your child is coming with money please make sure they have it in a secure wallet or ziploc bag.

I will be having all the kids give me the money they bring in the morning so that it does not get lost before the book fair.  I will give it to them right before we go to the book fair.


We will be going to book fair again on Monday at 2:05.  If your child just wants to make a wish list tomorrow that is fine as they can make their purchases later.

The book fair runs until 4:00 on Tuesday next week.
