HATS ON FOR MENTAL HEALTH HAPPENING ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 3rd.

 

 

 

NOTE: School calendar has hat day on May 4th...there are no hats on this day.

We are doing hats on May 3rd.

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Parents / Guardians:

 

Mike Mountain Horse is doing a school wide Canada 150 celebration at the end of May.  There will be a performance by each grade level and a project based learning gallery walk taking place around the school.

The grade three project is going to center around Canada being a multicultural country with heritages tied to many different countries.  In preparation for the project that your child will be working on please go through your family’s ancestry with your child.

We are looking for the students to know their cultural makeup in relation to where their ancestors originated from.  For example, if their ancestry comes from Ukraine on their mother’s side and England on their father’s side.  Please fill in the attached family tree with your child where you will write in the heritage and country of origin for great grandparents and grandparents. 

Please return the completed family tree to school on Monday, May 1^st.

Your child will be researching the country/countries of their heritage to create a project to display during the Canada 150 school wide celebration on Wednesday, May 31.

MY LITTLE MAN TURNS 2 TOMORROW (tear...how do they grow up so fast)!

 

 

Some of the kids are wanting to create a picture at home for Lucas so that we can make him a little birthday book.  :)

If your child is working on a picture at home tonight please remind them to bring it with them tomorrow.

 

 

I truly appreciate how much my "school kiddos" care about my own kiddos.

1 X 9 = 9

 

 

For extra points...write the addition sentence for each picture that you draw.

We have a Ukrainian dancing field trip next week.  It is an amazing performance for the kids to see and be a part of.

1. Swimming tomorrow.  Students must come with all their gear in the morning as there will not be time to call home for forgotten items.

3. Egg drop testing tomorrow.

 

4. Thursday is our Easter party.  Please send in snacks that you are supplying.

 

5. Thursday is also DRESS FANCY day so come to school all decked out.

 

 

Back to school on APRIL 25th after the EASTER BREAK.

April 24th is a district PD day.
