Important!


Please return your CULTURE CRAZE slip by Thursday if you are sending in a food/dessert dish. I have only had 4 slips returned so far so please send the slips in ASAP so that we can get our menu organized.


A letter is coming home with your child about parent volunteers for the grade 3 to 5 sports day on June 21. If you are able to help out on this day please fill in the form and return it to school ASAP.

CULTURE CRAZE FEAST!



BIG DAY COMING UP ON MONDAY, JUNE 7th.


"CULTURE CRAZE FEAST"


We will be sampling food dishes from Peru, India and Tunisia. I will need children to bring in a dish from the country of their choice for the rest of the class to sample.


I am going to need parent help to makes this day a success. There are many great recipes on the Internet that you can whip up in a hurry.


Sampling food dishes is a great way for the kids to learn about the culture of another country.


A letter is coming home with your child today explaining the CULTURE CRAZE event.

We are making CANDY CYRSTALS!


WE ARE MAKING CANDY CRYSTALS ON TUESDAY, MAY 25TH.
Your child needs to bring a yogurt container lid or a glass jar lid covered with tinfoil on Tuesday.
If you do not have a lid, a small paper plate covered with tinfoil will work as well.

Tuesday is BEACH DAY!


Tuesday is beach day...so pull out those flip flops and come to school looking like you are ready to head to the beach and build the best sandcastle ever!

Pysanky eggs will be coming home with your child tomorrow. Please make sure they bring a plastic container that is well lined with paper towel or something soft so that the eggs do not break.

Most children have 2 eggs, so please be sure to send a container that is large enough to SAFELY hold two eggs.

You will be amazed to see the pysanky eggs your child has created!

MATH MASTERS!


The kids dominated their math facts PAT today!!! What a bunch of math masters in this classroom. The kids amazed me with their speed!
I am so proud of each and every one of my kids! They have worked so hard and come such a long way with their math skills!
Way to go crazy monkeys!

Measuring the perimeter of the playground...we love taking advantage of the the FINALLY gorgeous weather with a little outdoor math. Look out because.....these kids are masters with the metre stick!!

WHAT A GREAT JOB!


The kids did a truly great job on their story writing PAT! I am SO PROUD of all of their efforts! They really took the time to write some amazing stories with their creative imaginations! I loved walking around the room while the kids were working and reading all the amazing stories that they were writing with a ton of juicy writing words. They always continue to amaze me with how much effort they put into doing the best they can do no matter what the task is.
They truly are the best kids in the WORLD!!!
